Miss Opportunity - Ch. 41.2

“I bet Franco won’t mind buying me a BMW,” Cami said, turning to leave the room for a different reason now.

What did you just say?!” Millsap hissed, jumping up from the bed. He actually saw red at those words.

Just the thought of Cami with another man, any other man had him feeling murderous inside. The fact that she would stoop this low to manipulate him made Millsap extra defiant. She couldn’t get a penny from him right now.

Cami swung around and faced him again. “I said, I bet Franco won’t mind buying me a BMW,” she boldly repeated.

Millsap’s jaw tightened. His brows furrowed at her attempt to control him through jealousy. “If you do go to Franco, you gonna find yourself highly disappointed. He ain’t thick enough for you,” Millsap said in a calm tone that belied his fury.

Cami scoffed. “I can work with men of all sizes, Millsap. Everybody don’t have to be as big as you to satisfy me,” she said, assuming he was talking about one thing when he was actually talking about another.

“I’m not talking about the size of his manhood since I don’t know what that brotha working with. I’m talking about the size of Franco’s wallet,” Millsap clarified. “The man got kids all over this city and a few others, plus a nasty gambling addiction that pops up every now and again. Matter of fact, he still owes me and Mike-Mike some money for helping him with his back child support payments and gambling debts,” he said, revealing two of Franco’s secrets in order to keep Cami from going to him. To keep her from destroying this good thing they had.

Cami shook her head. “That’s low, Millsap. Stepping on your friend’s wallet and reputation just to keep me from hooking up with him is so beneath you. Franco got a chain of restaurants and a high rank in the game. You know that man ain’t hurting for nothing.”

“You can believe what you want to believe, Cami, but I’m telling you right now that if you go to him, you can’t ever come back to me,” Millsap replied in a resolute tone, despite his hurting heart. Did she not know how much this conversation was stabbing at him? Did she not care?

“If Franco gets me that BMW and whatever else I want after that, I won’t ever need to come back to you again,” Cami countered.

“Kick rocks then,” Millsap said in a harsh tone, releasing her from this relationship and from everything he’d brought into it. If she could leave him over something as simple as a car, he didn’t need her!

“I will!” Cami retorted and then headed for the door again.

Millsap wanted to say, ‘Don’t go, Cami’. But what came out instead was, “I can make one phone call and replace you within the hour. I’m sure Daysha still has a clean bill of health.”

Cami’s eyes snapped back to his face. “Well, get on the phone then, brotha. See if she can ride you ‘til you cry,” she replied, being just as hurtful to him as he’d just been to her.

“I wasn’t crying that night!” Millsap denied vehemently. “There was something in my eye. A piece of plaster from the wall with all that headboard-banging we were doing. Besides, one tear don’t constitute crying compared to all the tears you shed that night.”

“Yeah, right.” Cami scoffed again. “Let me go see if I can make Franco shed a few tears tonight,” she concluded, before turning to switch her sexy hips away in that formfitting blue sweat suit.

It took everything in Millsap not to turn this into a domestic violence situation as he watched the woman he loved go after one of his best friends. What kept him in check was the fact that he truly didn’t want a hair on Cami’s pretty head harmed. Not by him. Not by anyone.

Plopping down in a nearby chair, Millsap buried his head in his hands. Please don’t sleep with him, baby. Please! he silently lamented, willing to give Cami one more chance if she just remained faithful tonight.

Would she?

CAPS ARE STILL ON.................

CAMI HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST STUPIDEST WOMAN RIGHT NOW. I KNOW SHE IS HURT BUT SHE COULD HAVE SAID ANYONE ELSE OTHER THAN THE BEST FRIEND.

MILLSAP WAS ALSO LOW FOR BRINGING DAYSHA UP WHEN HE KNOWS THAT SHE IS THE CAUSE FOR THIS.

HE IS NOT THAT DANG NAIVE TO NOT KNOW THE TRICKS SHE IS PLAYING. HE IS JUST TO DUMB TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

I REALLY HOPE THAT CAMI FIND SPIRITUAL PEACE ON HER WAY TO WHEREVER.

THIS IS REALLY BAD AND I WANT TO CRY.

LOVE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HURT THIS MUCH FOR THE BOTH OF THEM.

Paula: I think Millsap and Cami are both stuck on stupid right now. And yes, Millsap knows darn well that Daysha's still feeling him. But he thinks that as long as he's resisting her advances on the regular, Cami shouldn't have a problem with them still being friends.

I bet if Cami and Kobe were still talking on the phone Millsap wouldn't like that.

NOOOOOOO, don't do it. Oooo, see that's why I didn't want to read these next few chapters. My husband is like "what is wrong with you, yelling like that". Please Cami just drive around but don't make any pit stops.

Jrboss: I understand your dread. But it had to happen. Cami just wasn't the type to get saved from the good stuff. She's one of the get-saved-after-going-through-some-bad-stuff people. Think back to how she messed up her blessings after Delia and the family gave her seed money in Florida.
