Enticing Mr. Wrong - Ch. 15.3

As they waited for their dessert, Aisha got up and retrieved her portfolio from the other end of the table. Without turning around, she knew Bonz was staring at her backside. He better be, considering the fact that she’d worn this sensual dress and was currently swaying her hips as provocative as possible just to entice him.

Bingo! Aisha mused as soon as she heard Bonz’s sharp inhalation. Then and only then did she turn back around.

“In case you’re wondering what this is,” Aisha said, smiling innocently as if she hadn’t just provoked him to tear her clothes off. “This is what I call my sample portfolio,” she continued, holding the leather case up in emphasis.

The portfolio in question featured old photos from Aisha’s last overseas shoot and several new ones from the recent shoot in Atlanta. She particularly liked the new photos on account of the clothes she got to wear in them. They were created by an up and coming designer out of Atlanta, and they reeked of quality and soft femininity.

Since Aisha was a personal fan of the designer, she asked her agent to secure her a spot even if it meant receiving less money. Fortunately, she received the same pay as usual. The fact that the shoot was stateside was an extra bonus since it kept Aisha closer to Laquetta and her expanding belly.

Blinking rapidly to refocus, Bonz cleared his throat before speaking. “Sample portfolio? How is that different from a regular one?”

“Well, the regular one is mainly for professional purposes. It displays the usual things like head shots, various profiles and so on for public viewing,” Aisha said, returning to her seat with the portfolio in hand. “My sample portfolio is more for personal use. I use it to sharpen my craft. You know, to see which poses and clothing styles flatter my profile the most. That way, I can be more strategic when pursuing new jobs. That way, I won’t waste time trying to get work that my body type simply is not suited for.”

Bonz looked impressed. “I didn’t know modeling was so scientific.”

Aisha chuckled. “For me it is. But then again, I approach everything I do from a technical, strategic point of view. I don’t believe in half-stepping. After all, what’s the point of doing something, if I don’t give it my best.”

Bonz’s brows rose. “Does that principle apply to every part of your life?” he asked with the flames of desire leaping in his eyes again. They had never really gone out.

Every part,” Aisha confirmed, meeting his heated gaze head-on. “Here, have a look-see. Tell me what you think of them,” she continued, passing the leather case across the table. “Most are from my last overseas shoot. But there are at least five pages from the shoot I did yesterday in Atlanta,” she explained as he opened to the first page.

Bonz inhaled sharply at the first picture his eyes lit upon. Saliva pooled in the corners of his mouth. His gentlemanly manners slipped and fell to the ground with a thud as he muttered a curse word of appreciation under his breath and prepared to say a few more.

“Baby girl, you are fine as he…”

“Excuse me, but your dessert is ready,” the waitress interrupted, cutting him off mid-sentence.

Aisha gave Bonz an amused smile. “What was it you were about to say before?” she teased when they were alone again.

Bonz smirked and cleared his throat. “I was about to say that these are some very beautiful photos of you. Simply exquisite,” he replied, deliberately speaking with way more refinement now.

“Yeah, right.” Aisha chuckled, causing him to laugh, too. “Flip through and tell me which one you like the best,” she encouraged, trying to build up his desire for her even more.

Bonz chose the picture of Aisha with honey dripping down her scanty-clad body as his favorite, which also happened to be the very first one he saw. He looked like he’d won the lottery when she told him that he could have that particular photo.

Aisha smiled with extreme satisfaction at his reaction. Her plan was working like a charm now. If only her triumph could have lasted a little while longer.

"The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry." I have a feeling Bonz is about to rock her world and make her forget some of those plans.
